Navigating Mother's Day
Mother's Day has been bitter sweet for me for over 40 years. You see, I was 11 when my mom passed away. Mother's Day became a confusing, sorrow-filled day - I would try to honour those who stood in place of my mom, but I was angry that MY mom was not there. I would wonder what my life would be like if she had lived.
I am now older than my mom ever was, by a few years. I can now celebrate her for the strong woman she was and the role she played in my young life.
And it is still bitter sweet for me.
Travel and {bronze} jewelry
I have been thinking about travel lately. I travel lots and had been planning a trip to France this July.
Of course the pandemic kiboshed that idea, at least for this year. Now it's most likely I will experience my first every "stay-cation".
My bronze bead jewelry would be great for a trip: a few pieces to mix and match for different looks and very easy care. Maybe I will get to test it out next year.

Styling scarves and {bronze} jewelry
My hair is about four weeks past it's "best before" date. My stylist cuts it well, but it is quite long for me right now.
Testing out some scarves: First, was the gypsy look...
Next: Rock on with leopard print!
Bring out the bobby socks...(although I kinda like this one)!
Or go full incognito with cap and sunglasses. Think anyone will know it's me????
PS: All jewelry is from my latest release, which you can see here. If you want to be first to shop the next release, then sign up with your email below.
Pairings: Stacks of {bronze} beads
I love to put more than one bead together in my creations, making stacks of beads. Here there are two in the Petite Martinique necklace, which you can pair with the single mini bead Icaria earring.
I like the necklace with the Marquesas earring, which is also two of my coral reef beads stacked together.
Make my creations into your own style!

Pairings: double drop necklace with {bronze} earrings
The Cayo Coco Necklace is versatile, and like all my coral reef bead jewelry, it can be paired with various earrings. Like these double drop ones, called Catalina that were also released last week.
Or Captiva, my new single drop mini bead earring.
Or even my Minoan earrings.
All of these are part of my Isles Collection of hand carved coral reef bead creations. If you want to know when I release new pieces, sign up to my email list below.
Meet the bronze {bead} dangles!
I have been calling this design "dangles", because the chain dangles from the bottom of the bead.
My beads and designs are versatile; very easy to mix and match, depending on your mood.
The "dangles" family has both a necklace and an earring that are one bead with a chain dangling.
Or one bead dangling below another bead.
You can find all of the dangles (with their real names) in my shop with the other pieces of my latest release.

Breaks, books and {bronze} beads
One of the things I like to do to relax is to read books.
I visited the Little Free libraries in the neighbourhood again and traded 3 books. The bottom two are my usual mystery / thriller genre.
But the top one had all the colours of the ocean and beach, so I figured it was meant to be! I'll let you know how it is.
PSST: The necklaces are now in my store.

New {bronze} jewelry pieces in action
Today, you get to meet some of my stacked bead creations in action. The horizontal stack necklace is called Petite Martinique.
The earrings are called Marquesas. You can see a wee bit of movement in the beads.
If you have been following along, you will know that I am about to release a number of new pieces in my Isles collection. These are all made from my bronze coral reef beads and gold filled chain.

Bronze and {steel} jewelry pieces
Remember when I first came back from the workshop in California and I introduced the bronze and steel combos?
This large bar was not finished in that it didn't have the blackening patina on it. I received the patina recently and decided I needed to finish it today.
I like it with the thicker rolo chain. I will be working on bronze and steel pieces after my upcoming release.
YOU can be first to shop new pieces exclusively by joining my mailing list. (And maybe receive special offers too, just sayin')
Bronze {bead} on gold chain - new necklace
Like my last post, this is about an updated design. This time, it's the vertical bead necklace, Pico Azores.
Meet Palomas - which means "dove" in Spanish. It's an island which fits my Isles Collection. Palomas will come in three bead sizes: large, medium and small.
Apparently, Paloma is also a tequila and grapefruit cocktail. Hmm, might have to try that this summer!

Bronze {bar} necklace
You may remember my Caprice necklace; a horizontal coral reef bronze bead on beadwire.
Well in my next release, you will meet it's cousin Lucia. Ooh-la-la, Lucia is a modern update on the horizontal bar necklace with my bronze hand carved beads, on a gold-fill rolo chain.
She will come in 4 sizes, from mini (1/2 inch) all the way up to large (2 inches) - you choose what suits you.
