Decorative {bronze} jewelry plants?
I was tidying up this weekend and came upon my poor succulent plant pot.
It's a lovely little pot and I had to decorate it up a bit, considering I killed off the succulents that were the previous inhabitants.
I kinda like the beads, shells and glass as decoration.
But I think it's time to get some more succulents and return the pot to it's rightful existence.

Does {bronze} jewelry go with the midnight sun?
Last month I mentioned that I went to Norway as exchange student. I was 17 years old and it was quite an adventure.
In Norway, Midsummer's Eve is a big deal - it doesn't get dark and there are bonfires all over. The week that I traveled to the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway for Midsummer's Eve celebrations, I was treated to a phenomenon that I have not seen before - the midnight sun!
I took these pictures at 11 pm (from a boat). It was so weird for the sun to be up in the middle of the night and I could see how your body clock would be a bit screwed up.
As for bronze jewelry going with the midnight sun? Well I will let you be the judge of that.

More tropical colours that go with {bronze} jewelry
I have been highlighting the hot tropical colours from a Bali Batik - reds and greens and gold.
But I have also found a couple more tropical colour palettes. First up, some oranges, pinks and yellows.
Then some sea greens and blues, with pops of accent colours. It all depends on your definition of tropical!
Best of all, my Cayo Coco necklace goes with ALL the tropical colours!

Tropical colours and hot {bronze} earrings
Yesterday, I was talking tropical colours. Today, let's talk hot earrings!
I am still on to the tropical colours - today it is grey out there, so the colours cheer me up.
If you are actually experiencing hot tropical weather, earrings are a great jewelry choice. They are not against your {sweaty} skin, like necklaces, bracelets or rings are.
My two choices that add some bling and swing are the Majorca and the Catalina earrings. Even the names are H-O-T! How cheery is that?!

Tropical colours and {bronze} necklaces
Soon, we will officially pass into summer. That got me thinking about tropical locations.
We have a temperate climate here, not too - not too cold. So we don't experience the hot, tropical heat.
What about some tropical colours instead? Red for tropical flowers, like orchids. Greens for all the foliage of a tropical land. Golds, a warm colour for your jewelry. Even though my pieces are bronze, they do have that warm gold colour.
Umbrella drink anyone?

Driftwood and {bronze} jewelry
When I was little, I found a piece of beaver chewed driftwood. I thought it looked an awful lot like Piglet, Winnie-the-Pooh's side kick (one of my favourite stories).
When I told my grandfather that the stick looked like Piglet and that I wanted him to put agates on it for Piglet's eyes, he had no idea who Piglet was! My 6 year old self was astonished - how could he not know?!!!!
So, we traded - he gave (driftwood) Piglet eyes and my mom and I read him the Winnie-the-Pooh stories.
Now, I am matching driftwood with my bronze jewelry - it helps keep the memories close. What do you have that keeps your memories close?

{Bronze} statement necklace that is organic
Often you see statement necklaces in a modern style, sometimes over the top. But it doesn't have to be that way. This triple stack of bronze beads is eye catching enough to make a statement.
As you can see, my Martinique necklace goes with driftwood - that's pretty down to earth and organic.
I even have these earrings to go with it. Organic, elegant, yet bold.

Unite for World Oceans Day
World Oceans Day is to put a spotlight on our blue planet. To celebrate and honour our oceans and work together to restore and conserve them.
Here, in the Salish Sea, June is also Orca Month, highlighting the habitat of the resident population of orcas.
I decided to celebrate with my orca and some sea treasures. This Ocean Curl pendant has a graceful, orca like curve, so it joined the party as well.
How will you honour the ocean?

Bronze {drop} necklace and Minoan earrings
My Capella necklace is what I am wearing these days. This one is with the large (2 inch) bronze bead drop.
I like to pair it with my Minoan earrings, shown here in my favourite size with my medium coral reef beads.
Both the Capella and the Minoan come in multiple bead sizes, so you can get the ones that suit you the best!

How to choose a top to wear with a classic art {jewelry} necklace
My Ballenas necklace is in the classic style and I wanted to show it with various tops. First, a V-neck in a shade of grey. I like this necklace against the skin. The colour of the top doesn't necessarily highlight the bronze, but it also doesn't detract from it.
Next up is the royal blue t-shirt like top. Now I love the bronze against this colour of shirt. BUT the neckline is a bit too casual for this classic style of necklace.
Lastly, we have the round neck shirt. I like this combination of neckline and colour the best for the Ballenas. The bronze stands out against the fabric and the necklace hangs nicely. The best way to figure this all out is to try and see. You will know when it feels right.

World Bicycle Day {and bronze jewelry}
Today is World Bicycle Day. The UN declared World Bicycle day to celebrate the bicycle as "a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transportation, fostering environmental stewardship and health".
I realize I should have been out riding today. Instead I have pretty pictures of a colourful card I received last year on my birthday. I do love to bike, though.
As for the jewelry part - well I mostly don't wear jewelry when riding, except when the occasion calls for it (the jewelry I mean). When I do, I like something light to wear and easy to care for, but still has a bit of pizzaz. That is why I like my Lucia necklace, because it checks all those boxes (the one pictured is a small bead, one inch).

How to style an art {jewelry} necklace
I got some new tops recently, to add to my spring wardrobe.
I decided to show you how my Dominica necklace looks with the differing colours and necklines.
Which one do you like best?
