My {other} go to earrings
I do like to switch up my jewelry based on my mood and perhaps what I am wearing.
My Isles collection is versatile that way. All the pieces are made from my bronze coral reef beads and they can be mixed and matched depending on how you feel.
Today, I am loving these Majorca Earrings. See how they move?!

Birthday surprise!
My friend Julie, who I have known since grade 6, arranged for a birthday delivery for me.
Chock full of goodies from The Farmer's Daughter, it was a fantastic and generous gift.
So, I filled a glass with Prosecco and a glass with beads and I "cheers" to her. Best that I don't play with my tools while drinking tho'...

Favourite everyday {bronze} earrings
Ok, I admit it. My favourites change regularly. But right now I am loving my Captiva earrings. Yesterday, I talked about my hair cut experience. You can see I put on my go to earrings, both before and after the event.
I love that they are simple and light. I love that they have movement and are dangly.
I love that they catch the light and can go from day to evening (if we were doing that right now...). If you love them too, head on over to my shop and get yourself a pair!

Are those your {earrings}?
Can you see the earrings under all that hair? It's hair cut day, so hopefully you will see them afterwards.
My hair grows fast and is going more and more curly over time. When I was a teenager, my hair would not hold the "Farrah Flip", even with curling iron applied.
Now, I let my stylist guide my hair into something that works for me. I am not into much fuss or much product to hold things in place, for that matter.
So you can see, she tidied it up a lot. But I am taking advantage of the forced "growth" and seeing if I can go for a new style. Stay tuned...
PSST: My Captiva earrings are available in my store.

It's a whale of a {bronze} necklace
The Ballenas necklace is named after an island group off the coast of Vancouver Island, relatively close to home.
Ballenas is Spanish for whale; and true enough, orcas can be sighted around the islands.
Ballenas, the necklace, as I described in this post, is classy, yet organic. It's {wait for it} a whale of a necklace!

{Jewelry} throwback Thursday
Like I wrote about the other day, travel has been on my mind lately.
At the start of my jewelry journey, I was also training to be a yoga instructor. In Hawaii. You can see the influence on these first pieces - the ohm and "breathe" are classic yoga touchstones.
Now you can see that my style has evolved and I have new influences showing up in my work. Imagine my surprise when I noticed the dangle design element in my work today!

Classic, organic bronze {bead} necklace
The Ballenas necklace is my take on the classic necklace.
Of course, being an artisan jeweller, it is not all matchy matchy.
The bronze beads are my hand carved coral reef ones, in three different sizes, giving the piece an oceany organic feel. Yet it is graceful and elegant at the same time. You can get your own Ballenas necklace in my store.

Bronze {bracelets} beachcombing
That title is right up there with "She sells seashells". But it's what I did recently when the weather was hot last weekend.
I like to look for the treasure on the beach. Sometimes all I find is parts of shells.
This time, when I was just about at the end, I found a small mermaid tear of green sea glass. Makes it all worthwhile for me.

All the things {Norwegian}
What do trolls, vikings and my bronze coral reef beads all have in common?
Well, nothing really. Other than I lived in Norway on student exchange for a year and today is Norwegian national day (also known as 17 Mai!)
I like to shout out to Norway and all the friends I made there on this day. I was supposed to be attending a reunion this summer with those friends. We have postponed until next summer.
In the meantime HEIA NORGE!
Just {bronze} jewelry hanging out at the beach
Our weather on the weekend was very warm, especially for this time of year.
It really was time to hit the beach and hang out.
And photograph a few of my favourite pieces: Dominica and Ballenas necklaces. I featured Dominica in yesterday's post.

Meet Dominica, my new favourite {bronze} necklace
Dominica has become my new favourite necklace.
I love how it is organic and reflects the coral reefs that inspired the beads.
And I love how it makes a bold statement. You could say it is Elegant, yet Audacious!
You can find Dominica in my store.

How to style {bronze} necklaces with cold shoulder tops
The weather here lately has been positively summer-like, even though we are not yet at mid-May. I have been wearing some of my summer tops, like this cold shoulder one.
I like the cold shoulder tops to style with my bronze bead jewelry, because the collar line is a bit higher and the necklace then hangs on the shirt, not my skin. This one is the Cayo Coco necklace.
The Dominica necklace makes more of a statement; it's longer and more dramatic. I think I am liking the Dominica with the cold shoulder shirt best!
