Seven Seas Collection is now live!
My new Seven Seas Collection is now live on my website. I have started the collection with bronze only pieces, along with two oceany colours: Mediterranean and Seafoam.
Mediterranean is a deep blue colour and Seafoam is a sparkly turquoise. There are earrings and necklaces. And two series of one of a kind pieces- Ocean Droplets and Ocean Pools. The shape is the same for each piece in the series, but the colours are applied individually, and will be different each time.
So go ahead and have a look!
Ultimately, there will be 7 colours...And you can stay tuned into the next release by grabbing a spot as insider. Just sign up with your email below.
How to layer your necklaces
I have been playing around with layering my necklaces this year. When I started doing it, I was a bit hesitant - I am used to wearing one statement necklace, not a number of coordinating ones.
What I found out, is that it is quite easy to do this - you just do it! I like mine to all be visible, because they are all unique. But you can layer ones that are all the same length, but different chain types. Or you can layer just chains in with pendants. It's really up to you!
Try it; you might just like it!
PSST: My new Seven Seas collection of necklaces are designed to stand on their own OR be layered with your other favourites. They are being released very soon....so sign up below to be first in line to shop.
Ocean drops and ocean pools
I am excited about these new necklaces - these two styles show off the beautiful bronze and also have fantastic ocean colours.
They are Ocean Pools and Ocean Drops. They are a repeatable design, but each one will be unique, as they are hand carved and hand coloured!
These beauties will be available real soon; so sign up with your email below, so you can be first to shop!
This is 59
It was my birthday recently. I turned 59, entering my 6th decade of trips around the sun.
Birthdays are an important touchstone - a time to take stock of where I am and where I may be headed.
Spending time making discoveries, both on the beach and in my journal is the way I take stock. How do you mark your journeys around the sun?

Ocean kissed jewelry
I am grateful to live by the ocean. The ocean draws me in with her colour, moods and power.
Is it any wonder, then, that I honour the ocean and her treasures with my creative endeavours?
These Mediterranean Blue and SeaFoam Green pieces will transform into necklaces and earrings very soon. If you sign up and become an insider, YOU will get to shop them first. Don't miss out...
What does it mean to sail the seven seas?
The Seven Seas conjure up sailing adventures and exploring far away lands.
Or perhaps swashbuckling pirates and mermaids singing their siren song.
Or finding sunken treasure...

Summer vibes, where are you?
Here on Vancouver Island, we are experiencing wetter and colder weather than normal. Certainly, 2 years ago, it was hot enough that everyone wanted to be out at the beach.
The Journey
~ Mary Oliver
One day you finally knew |
what you had to do, and began, |
though the voices around you |
kept shouting |
their bad advice -- |
though the whole house |
began to tremble |
and you felt the old tug |
at your ankles. |
"Mend my life!" |
each voice cried. |
But you didn't stop. |
You knew what you had to do, |
though the wind pried |
with its stiff fingers |
at the very foundations, |
though their melancholy |
was terrible. |
It was already late |
enough, and a wild night, |
and the road full of fallen |
branches and stones. |
But little by little, |
as you left their voice behind, |
the stars began to burn |
through the sheets of clouds, |
and there was a new voice |
which you slowly |
recognized as your own, |
that kept you company |
as you strode deeper and deeper |
into the world, |
determined to do |
the only thing you could do -- |
determined to save |
the only life that you could save. |

Colour Explosion!
Meet Seafoam and Mediterranean!
Seafoam is a turquoise with flecks of metal that sparkle like when the sun catches the surface of the water when you are relaxing on a tropical sandy beach somewhere.
Mediterranean is the rich blue most seen in (you guessed it) Mediterranean countries, like the blue dome of churches in Greece or the blue in the ceramic tiles I fell in love with in Spain and Portugal.
I have been experimenting with colours, trying to create oceany ones for my upcoming Seven Seas collection. Powder coating is a durable surface that provides lasting colour on pieces.
The top and the right side disks are the colours that are combined in the 6 middle pieces. While some of the others will make an appearance in the collection later, I have chosen Seafoam and Mediterranean as the starting colours.

One necklace idea, two ways
These two necklaces are siblings. This first one is larger and has a big personality. It makes a statement all on it's own.
The second one is smaller and shorter.
It likes to hang around with other necklaces, especially longer dangly ones.
Which one is your style? Check them both out here.
