Styling {bronze} jewelry for spring
My bronze coral reef beads are versatile enough that they go with {almost} everything. I like to wear different colours and lots of patterns.
This is one of my new designs, similar to the Caprice necklace, but on gold-filled chain. It is meant to be worn close to the collar bone to go with different collars and necklines.
And to brighten things up, you see it with the spring colours of aqua, cherry blossom and purple.

Spring sanity interlude
Remember this?
I have been having moments where I want to shout this at some people.
Instead, I bring you a spring interlude.
Ahhhhh......
You're welcome.
Please may I have some more {bronze bead jewelry}?
I thought I would dangle some chain at the end of some beads and these ideas came out. Mini plus small bead, perhaps for everyday wear.
And small plus medium for more boldness.
Or how about doubling up on beads?

Multi-bead fun {part 2}
The other day, I wrote about multi-bead necklaces that could be part of my upcoming collection release.
Those were three bead necklaces. Now, I am looking at a full bead necklace and bracelet. Maybe on the chain.
Or perhaps links.

International Women's Day
Today, the radio station I listen to has been playing women in rock - in some ways a hit parade of my adolescence. It got me thinking about influential women.
In 2006, I rode my bike from Toronto to Ottawa with four other women. In Ottawa, we saw the commemoration of the "Famous Five". These are the suffragists who challenged the British North America Act in the Supreme Court to include women as "Persons", thus allowing women to be appointed to the Senate.
This landmark judgement occurred in 1929 - NOT EVEN 100 years ago! Sadly, I don't remember learning about Canadian women's history in school; hopefully young women these days learn about the strong women who blazed trails in history.
So, on International Women's Day, celebrate the women in your life. And celebrate those who forged paths for us to follow.
Mult-bead necklaces
I continue to enjoy my adventure with my bronze coral reef beads. There are just so many ways to put them together.
Like these triple bead ideas: a stack, horizontal links and scattered between chain segments.
My collection release is coming in a few weeks. If you want "in" on first dibs at the pieces, please sign up to my email list below.
Spring {jewelry} colours
This morning, the sky matched my shirt. All blues and purply and pinkish. My bronze beads go great with these colours.
At this time in the morning, on my way to my day job, the sun is just rising and often puts on a lovely colour display over the bay.
I will be sad next week when we are plunged back into darkness in the morning with so called Daylight savings time.

Upcoming designs for a spring release
I am loving my bronze beads and creating with gold chain.
Each design is spawning new ideas. It's creative heaven!
I am gearing up for a release of new designs, some of which you are seeing in first drafts here on the blog. The release will be in a few weeks.
As always, my Insiders get first dibs on all new releases. Want that? Jump on in by signing up with your email address below.
Peek-a-boo chain designs
I am still playing with chain and beads, working my way up to an upcoming release. Today, I have horizontal bead designs to show off.
In the idea stage, I sketch and then put things together loosely to see if it "works" visually. Then I mock-up a sample to actually try on.
These designs are potentials - but not all will necessarily make the cut for the release. I still have the mock-up phase to go.

Chain chain chain {gold that is}
I am working on adding pieces made with gold-filled chain to my collection. I wanted to see how different chains would look with the beads. I like them all, for different reasons.
First, I will update my Pico Azores and Caprice necklaces. They will hang a bit differently on the chain as opposed to the current wires I have them on now.
I like the look of this rolo chain with them - it is small enough to go through the beads, but robust enough for a great gold glimmer.
If you want to be in on the early release to my Insiders only, then you need to get yourself on my list. It's easy, just enter your email below and you are there!
Sneak peek at what's coming soon
I have told you I am playing with chain to go with my bronze beads and showed off some earrings under development.
This is some of the sketching I have been doing ahead of playing with the beads and chain together.
I find it easier to organize my thoughts and keep my focus when I sketch things down. Otherwise, I am a bit like the crow from the other day....look, shiny thing!!!

Oooh - shiny bronze things!
The other day when I was at the beach, I thought this piece of driftwood had lovely colours and interesting textures.
And that it would be a great back drop for my bronze coral reef beads. These are the beads I am designing with right now for my next collection release, which is coming in March.
Seems I also attracted another fan of shiny things...
