Find Leonajeanne Designs In Real Life
Now that we are able to get out and about again, you may be wondering where you can see my designs in galleries or at shows.
At this time, I am not planning to be in any shows this year. But you can still see my designs in real life! In the spring, I sent a number of my pieces from my Isles collection off to Kizmit Gift Gallery.
Kizmit is in Fort Langley, on the Lower Mainland and is a welcoming gallery gift shop. Try to visit if you are in the area!

Ocean inspired earrings for summer
My latest release has two pairs of earrings that are great for summer. Ocean coloured handmade glass beads are paired with my shell-like bronze pieces.
There are barnacles. And topsnails.
Don't you just want to go and dip your toes in the ocean now?

Bronze earrings galore available in a store!
Last month, I sent all these earrings from my Isles collection over to Kizmit Gift Gallery in Fort Langley.
So once you are able to travel out there, go and check them out in person. I did also send a few necklaces to go with them.

Why these three pairs of earrings are my "go to" favourites
Last week, I talked about pairing my "go to" earrings with some unique necklaces.
But I didn't talk about why these are my favourite earrings.
First, I love the Ocean Curl earrings for some understated elegance.
And the Captiva are my flirty fun earrings; they have so much movement dangling at the end of the chain.
But I probably wear my Minoan earrings the most! They are truly an everyday, go-with-anything, piece of jewelry.
Which ones are your favourite?

Perfect pairs: Artisan made jewelry earrings and necklace part II
Today I am pairing the flirty Captiva earrings with an equally flirty necklace.
The Coral Frag II necklace does have enough pizzaz on it's own; it doesn't need a big blingy earring to go with it.
I think these two pair really well together as they compliment each other so well - both flirty, but not over the top and equally eye catching. You might say they are a Perfect Pair!

Beach or Forest {jewelry}
I love the beach, whether it be at the seaside or by a lake. Beaches and the shoreline are such interesting places that I could spend all day exploring and discovering.
But I also love the forest! That is where the faeries and gnomes live, right!?! This makes it the perfect place for my imagination.
I know, what about a beach by a forest?! Perfect.....

Sea mist green and {bronze} earrings
I use sea green and ocean blue, but there are tons of blue and green colours.
Like azure or aegean. Or cerulean and teal. And what about good ol' turquoise, like my nails (even if it does come by the name "sea mist")?
They all go really well with my bronze coral reef bead earrings though!

What earrings to wear with longer hair
With the pandemic closing all hair salons for over 2 months, I found myself growing out my hair. It's been awhile since I have had longer hair and the earrings I normally would choose were not showing up any more.
So what's a girl to do when she wants to show off her jewelry and keep her longer hair style???
The answer is get my Majorca earrings! They are dangly with lots of movement and the bottom bead swings below my hair line.
Perfect!

Barnacles {bronze} and driftwood
Barnacles, bronze earrings and driftwood. Right now, these are a few of my favourite things.
That's why I am always on the lookout for ocean treasures.
And why I am inspired by them to create.

Coral inspired {bronze} earrings
It's not always a straight line from inspiration to final piece. For me, it's about essence and mimicry. And as an artist, I can allow creativity to have it's way with an idea.
When I create something, my inspiration comes from various places - including the ocean and beach environments. These Minoan earrings are made from my coral reef beads, which bring to mind ... you guessed it...coral!
I am working on some new pieces now for release this fall. If you want to be first to shop when these items are released, get on my email list by signing up below.

How to style bronze jewelry for summer
I have talked about my Captiva earrings and Capella pendant before.
And with the summer weather finally arrived, having these two simple pieces of jewelry to throw on makes my day.
I thought I would show them off "in action" together. This is the other morning, waiting for the bus. If I turn to my left, I can gaze out over Haro straight. The birds, deer and bunnies can all make appearances. It's not quite as rural as it looks, but it is peaceful.
