Another tequila {and bronze jewelry} sunrise
At the beginning of the month, I was going to write about our journey into fall. It's the time of year when jackets go on and the sunrise happens at the same time as I am leaving for my day job, creating lovely mornings.
And then the fires in Washington and Oregon got worse, and the smoke shifted over us, even here on Vancouver Island. At first, it created tequila sunrises, all reds and oranges and purples.
Then the sun had to scramble to be seen through the haze, until the smoke engulfed us all, creating terrible, awful, no good air quality.
We endured for about two weeks, hunkering inside when normally September is a wonderful time to be outside here.
Finally, this weekend, the winds pushed the smoke away from us and we can face the fall season.

Is it holiday season already?
No sooner is Halloween over and the Christmas Craft shows start to appear. I walked over to one at the local church to get in the mood.
However we are still having beautiful fall weather. Even though we had one of the coldest Octobers on record, the sun is shining and it does not feel like we are headed into winter. At least not today.
Even the show was decked out in fall colours.

What jewelry goes with autumn?
It was a beautiful fall day today. Sunny, and a little on the crisp side.
The leaves are gorgeous right now. I had to bring some home and decorate.
And what is the best jewelry to go with autumn? Well, I think my bronze necklace is a great match!
I will be releasing bronze pendants like mine on my website soon. Want to be the first to know? Sign up to my email list and become an insider.
Yes, you can wear bright clothing for autumn
It seems as though the summer is winding down here. It's dark when I get up for work these days and cooler too. I have been noticing sweaters and darker, fall-like colours appearing in clothing...
So, I suppose I am a bit of a clothing rebel. I wear what I want and am not bound by seasonal rules or not really by fashion rules. Today, I chose pink!
Copper goes well with pink; it's in the same colour family, although a coppery colour is suspiciously like autumn. But my pendant has blues and greens and is lively.
