A bronze {bead} crown?
Perhaps this shell is queen of the seashore?
Maybe I should adjust her crown just a little bit....
Oops! Well, it's still a great bracelet.

Beware the Kelpie {wearing bronze jewellery}
A kelpie is a mythical Scottish (or Celtic depending on your source) water horse.
And look, I found one in my back yard, sporting my Ballenas necklace!
Do you think it will stay still long enough for me to pet it?

Beach or Forest {jewelry}
I love the beach, whether it be at the seaside or by a lake. Beaches and the shoreline are such interesting places that I could spend all day exploring and discovering.
But I also love the forest! That is where the faeries and gnomes live, right!?! This makes it the perfect place for my imagination.
I know, what about a beach by a forest?! Perfect.....
Another perfect thing? Well that's when you get to shop new pieces first because you have signed up for my email list. Just do it!
Bronze and steel jewelry in {transformation}
One of the things I love about my creative art process is the transformation all my pieces go through.
I take my inspiration and my skill set and marry them up to create each piece, stage by stage.
Now that I am adding the bronze to this piece, it is really starting to look like the sketch.

Steel {strength} and bronze {beauty}
Within the ocean, I see both strength AND beauty - not just one or the other.
Both of these qualities are inspiring me with this new collection of steel and bronze pieces.
I see them not as competing, but as complimentary, going hand in hand through life.
Be sure you are signed up to the Insider list. That way YOU can be first to shop when the new collection is released later this month.
What do the Copacabana and the Cayo Coco {bronze} necklace have in common?
Well they are both Hot, Hot, Hot in the tropical sense!
{Sing it with me} Down at the Copa, Copacabana......
Had to share the love. {you're welcome}
Another tequila {and bronze jewelry} sunrise
At the beginning of the month, I was going to write about our journey into fall. It's the time of year when jackets go on and the sunrise happens at the same time as I am leaving for my day job, creating lovely mornings.
And then the fires in Washington and Oregon got worse, and the smoke shifted over us, even here on Vancouver Island. At first, it created tequila sunrises, all reds and oranges and purples.
Then the sun had to scramble to be seen through the haze, until the smoke engulfed us all, creating terrible, awful, no good air quality.
We endured for about two weeks, hunkering inside when normally September is a wonderful time to be outside here.
Finally, this weekend, the winds pushed the smoke away from us and we can face the fall season.

When your inner artist creates the {art} jewelry
When my inner artist comes out to play with my muse, I get really excited. New ideas take shape by playing around with techniques I have learned.
Sometimes I draw first and sometimes the idea comes out in the process. Right now, I am really happy and excited by the way my new steel and bronze pieces are shaping up.
Stay tuned and sign up for my email list. New work is coming in the next month and the mailing list gets first dibs, always.
Steel and {bronze} pieces are on the horizon
Being stuck inside due to poor air quality does have some advantages.
It means I can work away at my latest "love" - combining bronze and steel into new pieces.
Using these pieces as inspiration, I am creating for my next release.

Barnacles {bronze} and driftwood
Barnacles, bronze earrings and driftwood. Right now, these are a few of my favourite things.
That's why I am always on the lookout for ocean treasures.
And why I am inspired by them to create.
“The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul.” – Robert Wyland
New creations are happening now. If YOU want to be first to shop new releases (this time one of a kind or limited editions), then you should sign up to my email list!
Weathered driftwood and {bronze} pendants
Driftwood reminds me about strength and flexibility.
By nature, it drifts, pushed along by the water currents and doesn't resist.
It goes with the flow, weathers the storms and comes out beautiful in the end.

Coral inspired {bronze} earrings
It's not always a straight line from inspiration to final piece. For me, it's about essence and mimicry. And as an artist, I can allow creativity to have it's way with an idea.
When I create something, my inspiration comes from various places - including the ocean and beach environments. These Minoan earrings are made from my coral reef beads, which bring to mind ... you guessed it...coral!
I am working on some new pieces now for release this fall. If you want to be first to shop when these items are released, get on my email list by signing up below.
