Ocean kissed jewelry
I am grateful to live by the ocean. The ocean draws me in with her colour, moods and power.
Is it any wonder, then, that I honour the ocean and her treasures with my creative endeavours?
These Mediterranean Blue and SeaFoam Green pieces will transform into necklaces and earrings very soon. If you sign up and become an insider, YOU will get to shop them first. Don't miss out...
Summer vibes, where are you?
Here on Vancouver Island, we are experiencing wetter and colder weather than normal. Certainly, 2 years ago, it was hot enough that everyone wanted to be out at the beach.
The Journey
~ Mary Oliver
One day you finally knew |
what you had to do, and began, |
though the voices around you |
kept shouting |
their bad advice -- |
though the whole house |
began to tremble |
and you felt the old tug |
at your ankles. |
"Mend my life!" |
each voice cried. |
But you didn't stop. |
You knew what you had to do, |
though the wind pried |
with its stiff fingers |
at the very foundations, |
though their melancholy |
was terrible. |
It was already late |
enough, and a wild night, |
and the road full of fallen |
branches and stones. |
But little by little, |
as you left their voice behind, |
the stars began to burn |
through the sheets of clouds, |
and there was a new voice |
which you slowly |
recognized as your own, |
that kept you company |
as you strode deeper and deeper |
into the world, |
determined to do |
the only thing you could do -- |
determined to save |
the only life that you could save. |

Ocean inspired treasure has arrived
What's inside the shells?
The shells contain ingredients for creativity, inspired by oceany things like the colour of water and seashells and barnacles and coral and the importance of oceans for our ecosystems.
Mix all that together, and you get the latest pieces in my Coastal Collection!
My email list of Insiders gets first dibs when I release collections - are you on it??? Sign up below to get oceany goodness right in your inbox.
Bronze barnacle beauties
Why is it I am drawn to barnacles? Aren't they just sharp, crusty things you step on at the beach?
Barnacles inspire me because of their existence - I love the patterns they make, very organic, yet still a pattern.
But most of all, they remind me of the swish of the waves and wandering along the beach seeking treasure.

At this time, I am not planning to be in any shows this year. But you can still see my designs in real life! In the spring, I sent a number of my pieces from my Isles collection off to Kizmit Gift Gallery.
Kizmit is in Fort Langley, on the Lower Mainland and is a welcoming gallery gift shop. Try to visit if you are in the area!

Cascade oceany statement necklaces
As an artist, I never really know how my pieces will turn out until they are done.
These two statement necklaces came together after playing around with the oceany blue glass beads and my bronze pieces.
I really like how they turned out.
They will be available in my next release. Insiders get to shop first, so get on my list and join them! Sign up with your email below.
Barnacle blues, as jewelry!
If you have been hanging around here, then you know that I am inspired by oceany things.
One of my favourite forms to create is the barnacled shell. Since all of the pieces I am currently working on are part of my collaboration with Kanna Glass Studio, these pieces of course incorporate her lovely, oceany blue beads.
These barnacle pieces will all be in my next release, which is coming before the end of the month.
If you want to be first to shop these pieces, then you had better sign up for my email list! Insiders always shop first!
Ocean inspired snail shell jewelry in bronze and blue
These pieces are inspired by the top snail shells.
There are five top snails that live in the Pacific Northwest coastal waters. Some of these shells were used as decoration by Indigenous peoples.
I am happy to introduce my version of ornamentation with top snails!
If you want to be first to shop for these top snails when they are released in a few weeks, then you need to be on my email list. Sign up below.
