Exciting new pieces on their way
I am really pleased with how these new pieces for my coast to coast collaboration with Kanna Glass Studio are coming along.
These pieces came out of the kiln last weekend. And I thought I would see how they matched up to the lovely ocean coloured beads before I polish them up to their true bronze colours.
I really love how they are looking so far.
If you want to have first dibs on these new pieces when they are released, then I recommend you get on my list - Insiders shop first, always.
When I wear this necklace, I feel like I am at a beach party
Or perhaps on vacation in the Caribbean? Or twisting by the pool?
Either way, the Dominica is one of my favourites and a really fun necklace to wear.

Wear this necklace and get compliments
When I wear my Ocean curl necklace, I always get compliments.
Maybe it's because the shape of the necklace resembles the curve of the dolphin?
Or perhaps it is just a unique and simple statement.

Perfect jewelry pairings: turtle approved
I love to pair my Maderia earrings with my Petite Madeleine necklace.
They go swimmingly together and add a touch of class to any outfit.
Even the turtle approves!
Better get on my list just in case a birthday surprise is in store for Insiders only...(wink, wink, nudge, nudge). It's easy, just put your email in the space below.
How creativity explodes...
I really did try to put the beads away so I could focus.
But they kept clamouring in their new jar home. Until they all tumbled out!
This is what it feels like when I am inspired creatively - all the ideas clamouring to get out!

Bronze earrings galore available in a store!
Last month, I sent all these earrings from my Isles collection over to Kizmit Gift Gallery in Fort Langley.
So once you are able to travel out there, go and check them out in person. I did also send a few necklaces to go with them.
In the meantime, why not sign up to my email list? Besides getting to shop new collections first, Insiders get special offers from time to time...
Just pop your email in the space below and voila! You are on the list.

Beady eye candy for me to play with
Opening the box of beads was really fun. It was full of the blues and greens of the oceans, like the Atlantic and the Caribbean.
Some are one colour:
And some are swirled, multicoloured, just like the ocean!
I can't wait to see what comes from this collaboration.

An ocean full of beads
What does the cup of ocean hold?
Glory of purple and glint of gold;
Tenderest greens and heavenly blue,
Shot with the sunlight through and through;
Wayward ripples that idly roam.
Tumbling breakers with gallant foam;
Sands and pebbles that chase and slide;
Mystic currents that softly glide;
Mighty spell of the ages old,
This does the cup of ocean hold.
~ Amos Russel Wells
If you go down to the beach today...
When you go down to the beach, keep your eyes open for the elusive Martinique necklace...
Is it hiding in the rocks?
No, nope with the sea glass. How about over there with the driftwood?
Yup, there it is!
You just never know what treasure you will discover if you keep your eyes open.
And if you want to be the first to shop new treasures in my collections, then sign up to my email list - Insiders always have first dibs!
Caring for your bronze jewellery
For most of my bronze only jewellery pieces, I intend for them to age gracefully. This means that they are not treated with a sealant and that their colour will richen and deepen over time.
In the photo above, the bronze on the left is newly made and polished - it's colour is lighter than the other two pieces. It is also shinier than the other two.
To polish up bronze jewellery, the easiest way is to use a jeweller's cloth - a soft cloth that is impregnated with polishing compound.
After polishing, you can see that the two right side pieces are shinier, and that their colour has remained a deeper bronze.
To keep your bronze jewelry shinier and lighter longer, when not wearing, store in a jewelry box or in a plastic bag that will keep the amount of air it is exposed to at a minimum.
You can sign up to my email list to know when the newer (shinier) pieces are being released!
